Revivalist is delighted to be partnering with RDOOR to renovate three historic apartment buildings in Indianapolis, collectively known as Trinity Flats. In addition to full architecture and interior design services, Revivalist is providing historic preservation services, including Federal Historic Tax Credits, registration of two of the properties on the National Register, and coordination with the Indianapolis Historic Preservation Commission.
The Davlan, contributing to the Massachusetts Avenue Commercial District, was built in 1915 and anchors the northeast corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Alabama Street.
Paul C. Stetson School #76 (now Stetson Senior Apartments) is located at the southeast corner of E 30th Street and College Avenue. It was built in 1924 in the Jacobethan Revival style, designed by Charles Byfield, and utilized a new school design model in Indianapolis which placed the boiler on the ground floor instead of in a basement.
Now known as Constitution Gardens, originally Fairfield Colonial, consists of a large garden-style apartment building constructed in 1939, and three smaller townhome buildings built in 1948. This property uniquely offers a perspective on changing housing preferances pre- and post-WWII.
